Localpen does not collect or share any personal data. Your notes and folders stay on your Mac.
- Localpen opens only the folders and files you choose. What you write saves to those files, on your Mac. New notes, renamed notes and pictures you add go into the same folders; notes you delete go to the Trash.
- To open your folders again next time, Localpen keeps a bookmark to each one on your Mac. Removing a folder from the sidebar removes its bookmark.
- What you tick or type in an HTML page, and any data a page saves for itself, is kept inside Localpen on your Mac. Those HTML files stay untouched.
- There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- A page you open may show fonts, images or scripts from the web, because its author wrote it that way. Those sites can see the visit, like in a browser. Localpen itself never sends your files anywhere. Turn off "Pages may load from the web" to keep every page fully offline. Web links you click open in your browser. Those sites' own privacy policies apply.
- When you export or print a note, it goes only where you send it.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Your notes stay in your folders.
