Background Off Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

Background Off does not collect or share any personal data.

The photos you open are processed on your device by Apple's built-in Vision framework. They are never uploaded, and the app has no servers.
The app stores nothing: it does not keep your photos or cutouts after you leave the photo. Photos you save go to your own Photos library; files you share go only where you send them.
The app asks for permission only to add pictures to Photos, and only when you tap Save to Photos or Save with White Background. Picking a photo uses the system photo picker, which shares only the photo you choose.
